FINES AT TE RAPA
Two Jockeys And Starter CN.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. The Te Rapa jockey, K. A. Nuttall, rider of Gene in the second division of the Karltane Handicap at .Te Rapa on Saturday, was fined £2O after being found guilty of taking the line of Mac’s Pride after about a furlong. Evidence by R. T. Cotter, trainer of Gene, that the horse was suffering from a cut on the side of the mouth and was also running greenly was taken Into consideration.
The apprentice jockey, M. Long, was fined £lO for crossing into the line of Tiki Lei (G. L. Willetts) during the running of the second division of the Karitane Handicap. Mr R. Russell, starter at the Waikato Racing Club's meeting, was fined £5 for not allowing Final Raid to be given full opportunity to be put In the stalls prior to the start of the first division of th* Karltane Handicap.
