The same view. The £2% million Factory December 1964 Right on schedule, exactly 13 months after site preparation began at Win, near Auckland, Fibremakers (N.Z.) Ltd. has made history by producing nylon yarn for the first time ever in New Zealand. 1 Within the next 18 months, output will rise to a level of 4,000,000 lbs. of yarn and fibre annually, with a significant saving to the country of over £1,000,000 in overseas exchange every year. Production is under the control of technical executives and line supervisors already trained in Australia and, ultimately, 200 New fl Zealanders will be employed. r ■ Yarn from Fibremakers’Auckland factory meets exactly the same high standards * W of quality already familiar to local knitters and fabric manufacturers through their n use of yarns previously supplied by British Nylon Spinners Ltd.
