BEQUEST TO UNIVERSITY
Widow Kept Promise (N.Z .P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) PRINCETON, Feb. 21. A widow who promised to “do something nice” for Princeton University left the college 27 million dollars in her will when she died last October. The bequest was made by Mrs Stanley Jadwin, of New York, who died a few days before her 87th birthday. Dr. Robert Goheen, the university president, said today: “She told us she would do something nice for Princeton. But none of us knew what was coming. We were bowled over.” It was the second largest single gift in the university’s history.
