Leasing OF Land (N.Z.P.A.--Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, February 16. The British Horserace Betting Levy Board has agreed to lease from the British Jockey Club 500 acres of land near Newmarket as the site for the new National Stud. The building of the new stud is expected to start later this year. The new policy of the stud is to stand high class stallions and make them available to British breeders. The stud’s property in Dorset, Southern England, did not lend itself to development for the new purpose and has been sold by private treaty.
