Two Houses Sold
Offered on account of the estate of Ellen Bluett i Gwatkin, an old weatherboard house at 582 Gloucester street, , Linwood, was sold for £3OOO 1 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer.
The initial bid was £2OOO There were eight bids of £lOO, and four of £5O. The house has four bedrooms, hall, living room, kitchen, pantry, bathroom, and laundry. Outbuildings on the section of quarter of an acre, zoned residential B, include a garage and sheds.
A house at 51 Harakeke street, Riccarton, has been sold by private treaty by Hutchinson, White, Ltd. The property was passed in at £5250 when offered at auction recently.
