Last-Minute Training (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 9. Last-minute training for the Papakura-based Ist Ranger squadron of the Special Air Service, shortly to leave for Borneo, includes crosscountry pack marching and field shooting, the unit’s commander, Major W. Meldrum, said today. He will command the 40strong S.A.S. contingent in Borneo. He said that the date for leaving New Zealand was not yet known, but the. men would be ready. Five members of the squadron’s territorial section have volunteered to transfer to the regular force for the Borneo task, and will probably train with other members of the squadron to form part of a relief unit
