Studying Maori Politics
(N.X. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Feb. 3. Miss Whetu Tirikatene, daughter of Sir Eruera Tirikatene, M.P., has arrived in Canberra to study at the Australian National University. Miss Tirikatene, who graduated in social science and political science at Victoria University, will study for a Ph.D. Her thesis will be a survey of Maori politics, particularly in the last 40 years.
