Trainer Under Suspension (N.Z. rrtst Ann. — Copyright) MELBOURNE. Palpltate’s trip to New Zealand for the Inter-Dominion championship series at Forbury Park later this month Is In doubt again, after the suspension on Wednesday of his trainer-driver, H. Craig, for the rest of the season. Craig said on Wednesday night that he had not yet got In touch with the horse's owners, Messrs R. S. and V. Hocking, of South Australia, and had not made any arrangements tor the horse’s training. Craig’s driver’s and trainer's licences were suspended, and also his right to drive trotters In work. The suspension will expire on July 31. Craig’s penalty is the same as a disqualification, except that he can attend trotting meetings. The stewards found Craig guilty of conduct calculated to injure the sport of trotting after an Incident between Craig and another driver, J. Skelner, after a meeting at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday, January 23. Skelner was not penalised. Craig’s driver’s licence was suspended for four weeks for careless driving at the showgrounds on January 14. Craig said he had not decided whether to appeal. Craig has four horses in training Palpitate, Subvert, Scurry, and an unraced two-year-old colt. Palpitate is the only Victorian remaining In the InterDominion, and is booked to leave for Dunedin on Monday.
