Baby’s Body In Right-Of-Way
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, Jan. 6. The body of a new-born baby girl was found by a schoolboy in a right-of-way 300 yards from the Taihape police station this evening. “The body is that of a fulltime female European baby, but we don’t know how long it had been lying there, or whether it was stillborn or died after birth,” DetectiveSergeant B. N. Middleton said. “Our main concern at the moment is to find the mother, who could be in need of medical attention.”
