Trees Block Roadways
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright)
BIRR (Ireland), Jan. 5. While Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon went on a pheasant shoot under a strict security guard today, workmen cleared two roads deliberately blocked by fallen trees. The trees had been cut by chain saws. Both roads lead to Birr, but the Royal couple took a third route. Police attributed the action to members of the illegal Irish Republican Army, who oppose the visit.
