Malvern Wins Shield Game
Malvern beat Banks Peninsula by 32 runs in a Machin Shield match played yesterday. R. Tilson, who batted aggressively for 93 for Malvern, was the outstanding batsman and J. Caradus (Peninsula) and R. Morris (Malvern) returned the best bowling figures. Scores:— Malvern 234 (R. Gunn 29, B. Ridgen 47, R. Tilson 93; J. Caradus six for 48, D. Masefield three for 60) beat Banks Peninsula 202 (W. Newton 28, Masefield 32, E. Turner 37; R. Morris five for 56, R. Gunn three for 52),
