ROAD RACE DELAYED
Cinder Track To Be Used
The Canterbury Road Runner ’ Association will held Its one hour race on the New Brighton Amateur Athletic Club's cinder track next month. The event will be the first held by the association on a cinder track. In previous years the race has been held at Rugbv Park, and this year’s race was scheduled to be held then' on Saturday. The New Brighton club has offered to make its cinder track available, and th. association has decided to transfer the race. Announcing this last evening, an officer of the association, Mr J. E. Stuart, said it had been decided Io postpone the eveni to a date yet to be fixed late in January. It had been decided to postpone the race so that association members could more fully support a 10-mile road race which will be held in conjunc tlon with Tlmaru's annual Cale donian meeting on New Year s Day.
