Hunting Horn, which is by Pride of Kildare, sire of the 1960 Melbourne Cup winner HiJinx, finished fast to beat the South Australian-bred Jovial Knight. With Comic Court, the first horse they owned, the Lee Brothers won the Victoria Derby in 1948 and the Melbourne Cup in 1950. They won the 1963 Caulfield Cup with the New Zealand-bred Sometime, while Asian Court scored for them In the Werribee Cup that year. Hunting Horn has also won the South Australian Derby and the St. Leger, although he failed at the recent Victoria spring meetings.
