(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, December 27. Cltlus, which cost 5400 guineas as a yearling, (cored a sensational win in the Carnegie Stakes (sf) at Caultfield on Saturday. The win was Citius’ third in three starts. Citius is by Star Kingdom from Rich And Rare. She was opposed by Gipsy Queen, which was unbeaten in four starts, and beat her by eight lengths, with Hilltex (16-1) third. Celebrity Star, at 11,500 guineas, the dearest yearling ftllv ever bought in Australia, made an inauspicious racing debut. She finished ninth in a 10-horse field.
