Eleven Of Guild Had Birthdays
The New Brighton Townswomen’s Guild held its Christmas party recently. Members and guests were welcomed by the president (Mrs R. Harvey). Among those who received sprays was Mrs A. Thompson, representing the Dominion federation; Mrs A. L. Cullington, pianist for the guild; and 11 members celebrating birthdays. A letter from the guild’s “link” in Bridlington Quay, England, was read. Mrs Thompson cut the Christmas cake. A box of parcels donated by members ■ was given to the Friendly Club. Entertainment included items by the drama, singing and keep fit circles, and a sketch. Mrs J. Taylor won the mystery parcel.
