Manawatu Art Competition
The Manawatu Society of Arts plans an annual national contemporary art competition with prizes of 100 guineas and 50 guineas. The first competition, for oil paintings, will be held in July, 1965. The first and second-placed paintings will remain the property of the society and will be on permanent loan to the Palmerston North Art Gallery.
