Gay Gordon’s second to Wendy Dawn in the Westport Handicap was one of the finest efforts recorded on the course. He will have a great chance of making amends in the Buller Handicap, the first leg of the double on the second day of the meeting tomorrow.

Our Kay will appreciate the shorter distance in this race and she may be the hardest for him to beat. Forshy, Wendy Dawn and a newcomer to the class, Vaggi, should also race lyNight Rocket, Rawiri and Main Reason form a likely trio for the second leg, the Farewell Handicap. There will be an oncourse double on the Charleston Handicap and the M. Durkin Memorial Handicap.
