OVERSEAS ORDERS
Rise In Value Of £2.2m Overseas orders placed by surveyed firms in November rose 17 per cent in value on orders placed in November of last year, says the Acting Government Statistician (Mr E. A. Harris). The value of the orders was £14.8m against £12.6m last year. The survey covers only about half of private ports. In the six months to November 30, overseas orders valued at £87.3m (£Bsm last year) were placed by surveyed firmsPayments made by surveyed firms in the half-year ending November were £78.5m against £Bl.lm for the same period last year.
