Twenty Brides Lose Dresses
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, December 24. Twenty brides-to-be who are to be married over the Christmas-New Year period had their wedding dresses stolen from a shop in Edgecliff, a suburb of Sydney, this week. The shop owner, Mr T. Cooper, said yesterday after he discovered the theft: “I cannot replace the gowns before the New Year. I am completely bereft. “Some of the brides-to-be burst into tears over the telephone when I told them of the theft. But most of them told me they were determined to carry on with their weddings”
