BIG ROWING ENTRY
Watkinson On Scratch "The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, Dec. 25. Approximately 700 oarsmen will converge on Whakatane to produce record entries for the regatta there on Saturday. So large are the entries that in five classes—junior fours, novice fours, maiden fours, maiden double sculls and handicap single sculls—the events will be held in divisions. The handicap single sculls has drawn 23 entries, with the Olympian, M. P. Watkinson, on scratch. Watkinson may feature in another major race for he and his brother, Peter, will clash with the New Zealand champions, Reid and Molesworth, in the double sculls.
