Transfers Of Commands Major R. Dawson, commanding officer of the Salvation Army in Ashburton for the last five years, has been appointed commander of the Dunedin Central Corps. His successor is Major K. Manson, formerly commander in Dunedin South. Captain K. Hayes, commander at Timaru, has been granted two years’ leave of absence to study for social science diploma at Victoria University of Wellington. His successor is Captain N. P. McNab, formerly commander at Eden, Auckland . Captain R. McEwan, commander at New Brighton, will go to Hawera, and be succeeded by Captain W. Howie and Lieutenant K. Ford, both from Upper Hutt. Captain R. Knight, commander at Waimate, has been appointed commander at Upper Hutt and will be replaced by Lieutenant J. Irwin, from Balclutha. Captain C. Gargiulo, of Temuka, has been appointed to the newly opened station at Porirua East, Wellington. His successor is Captain R. Rees, from Te Awamutu. Captain D. Hennessey, of Motueka, has been appointed to Miramar, Wellington, and will be succeeded by Lieutenant A. Sushames, from Taumarunui. Captain W. Rabbitts, of Richmond, Nelson, has been appointed divisional youth officer at Dunedin. His successor will be a newly-commis-sioned officer who will be appointed next month.
