R. J. Skelton On Palisade
"The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN. Dec. 23. R. J. Skelton la to ride Palisade in the James Hazlett Gold Cup, the second leg of the Dunedin Jockey Club's T.A.B. double at Wingatui on Saturday. Palisade's stablemate, Llanmai. which will be bracketed on the totalisator with Kumai in the same event, will be ridden by th* stable apprentice, J. R. Dowling. Skelton was listed as the rider of Beginner’s Luck in the feature mile event and the Gore trainer, R. J. Cochrane, states that this engagement was made before Skelton left to ride at Greymouth last week. Additional riders for the meeting Include:—D. N. Hadfield- Falmai, Marawood. B. T.
