Trapped Inside Car...

WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. One youth was pinned under an overturned car and another had to be cut out of the vehicle when a car struck a power pole in Lower Hutt about 1 a.m. today. Both were unconscious when rescued and are reported by the Hutt Hospital to be in serious condition. They are Bruce Allan Moths and Leonard Charles Campbell, both of Naenae.
Campbell suffered a broken pelvis and multiple lacerations and Morris suffered a broken leg and a broken arm. Both suffered shock. Morris underwent an operation today. Firemen used hacksaws and knives to free the youth trapped inside the car. Earlier, police, firemen, some American sailors and nearby residents lifted the car off the other unconscious youth.
