f.V.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. ; Inquiries into the disappearance last July of 3J-year-old Betty Wharton are “very much alive,” Detective Seniorfergeant J. G. Long, of the JUmilton C. 1.8., said today. In October, the child’s nother, Mrs Marion Wharton, >f Tatuanui, denied that the hild was missing. She said he child had been given to omeone. But the police are rearing it as a “missing perlon” case and have interyiewed hundreds of people.
