Colts Team For Water Polo
The following Canterbury colts team has been chosen by the selector (Mr R. Henry) to compete at the New Zealand water polo championships at Dunedin on January 25: J. Hay (Elmwood), J. Powell (Spreydon), A. Kindred, L. Wilson, J. Parker, J. Wild, I. Simpson, B. Carpenter (Wharenui), J. Inkpen, B. Spear (Beckenham), G. Furlong (Fendalton). Ray On Set Line A sting-ray measuring 6ft 3in by 4ft 6in was caught at Lyttelton yesterday. It was found on a set line hook, about half a mile off Corsair Bay by Mr A. Parke, a Lyttelton Harbour Board employee. Mr Parke and three other lunch-time amateur fishermen caught a large shark under similar circumstances earlier this month. The quartet intends to continue its activity.
