Khrushchev Reversed
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, Dec. 23. Mr Khrushchev’s successors have abolished one of his creations—the Central Asian Economic Region. The region, which unites four of the Soviet Union’s 15 republics, was set up early last year after Mr Khrushchev as Premier, visited the area and declared they were duplieating each other’s industries.
“Pravda” announced the new move in a brief paragraph on its back page under the heading “Chronicle,” but made no comment on it.
