Sentenced To 3 Years’ Gaol
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 23. A 26-year-old workman was sentenced to three years' gaol for his part in the £lBOO burglary in a city store earlier this week when he appeared for sentence before Mr W. M. Willis. S.M., today. James Paul Gable Clark was sentenced for what the Magistrate called “quite a substantial burglary.” Clark’s counsel, Mr J. H. B. Scholfield, said the only explanation his client could offer was that he had been drinking.
