Suicide Leap Survivor

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 21. A woman leaped 230 feet from the San Francisco-Oak-land Bay bridge today and was pulled alive from the water six minutes later by a Coast Guard patrol boat. United Press International reported. The woman is the first known person to survive such a leap. There have been a total of 59 known suicides from the span. She is listed in critical condition at the hospital from exposure and possible internal injuries. “It’s a miracle she's alive,” said one doctor.
