MOON HOME.—A scale model of a mobile lunar laboratory designed for the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration as part of the Apollo space project. The model was constructed as part of a study of how to support two astronauts for two weeks after a moon landing. This would be their mobile home and laboratory while they were collecting soil and rock samples and performing geological experiments.
