Imperial Chemical Industries of Australia and New Zealand, Ltd., will issue £l4m worth of shares to its parent company in exchange for a half-interest in Fibremakers, Ltd., Melbourne. 1.C.1.A.N.Z. already owns a half-interest in Fibremakers’ £4m ordinary capital. The issue will lift 1.C.1.A.N.Z.’s paid ordinary capital to £40,132,914. Preference capital is £lm, and will increase the U.K. company’s holding in the ordinary capital to just over 60 per cent. Fibremakers, formerly British Nylon Spinners (Australia) Pty., Ltd., makes nylon—marketed under the trade name “Bri-Nylon”—and terylene polyester fibre at its plant at Bayswater, Melbourne.
