TRAPPED IN CAR
Girls Escape Injury (N.Z. Press Association) TAUMARUNUL Dec. 22. Traffic was held up for some time yesterday afternoon while hack-saws were used to free the driver of a car involved in a collision a mile south of the Chateau Tongariro. The car collided with a seven-ton truck towing an unladen trailer on a bend in the road during heavy rain. The car was wrecked, but the occupants, five Australian girls who were touring New Zealand, were not seriously injured. The driver of the truck was not injured.
