PRETORIA, December 22.
The M.C.C. yesterday scored its seventh win in nine first-class matches on the tour of South Africa when it beat North Eastern Transvaal by an innings and 11 runs.
N.-E. Transvaal, resuming its second innings at 23 for three, 123 runs behind, was all out for 135 soon after lunch.
J. S. Price, the Middlesex pace bowler, who took two wickets on Saturday, finished the innings with four for 42 his best performance of the tour. He got a fair amount of
pace off the wicket, and also some movement. R. Barber, the Warwickshire leg-spinner claimed two for 13 and R. Hobbs took two for 28, also with leg-spin. D. Lindsay (35) and the 17-year-old C. Dey (27 not out) batted stoutly but the M.C.C. bowlers held complete command. N.-E. TRANSVAAL First Innings .. 204 Second Innings L. Liebenberg, c Barrington, b Price .. 13 E.
