China Enters Field

HONG KONG.
Transistor radios, television sets and other items of precision equipment are now in mass production in China. The New China News Agency says new modern factories manufacturing these products have sprouted throughout the country since 1958.
Two secondary technical schools and a college specialising in machine building and electrical engineering had been established in Peking since 1958, and more than 2000 students had graduated from them during the last two years, the agency said.
