Buttonholes By C.W.I.

Country Women’s Institutes! will be responsible for dis-' tributing button-holes on Christchurch streets on March 2, in connexion with the Pan Pacific Arts Festival, it was reported at the December! meeting of the executive committee of the Canterbury East! Federation of C.W.1., by its president, Mrs A. M. Riches. A sub-committee to assistl with the C.W.I. display to be held during the festival was! set up at the meeting. Members are Mesdames A. M. Riches, S. Chesney, M. Bearman, W. Tait and A. Coleman. Christmas greetings were received from the Dominion president of C.W.I. (Mrs M. Holt), at the meeting. Mrs Riches reported that the biennial general meeting! would be held in Tauranga in! July. Some members of the' Katikati institute will visit! Christchurch in March; they will be entertained to afternoon tea by the federation.
