Returns Show Fall (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 21.

Returns from the auction of greasy and scoured wool during the period July 1 to November 30 are some £6,598,000 down on the comparable period last year, reports the New Zealand Wool Commission. Total returns for both types show a fall from £32,681,822 2s 8d to £26,083,828 10s Od. During the period this year 392,528 bales (128,832,1451b5) of greasy wool realised £25,524,256 10s Bd., at an average price of 47.55 d per lb. or £65 Os 6d a bale. Last year, 428,034 bales (139,444,2611b5) of greasy wool were sold for £32,054,395 3s 7d, at an average price of 55.17 d per lb, or £74 17s 9d a bale.

This year 8038 bales (2,088,8951b5) of scoured wool has been sold at auction returning £559,571 19s 4d, compared with 8305 bales (2,146,9661b5) worth £627,426 19s Id during the same period in 1963. Scoured wool has averaged 64.29 d per lb, or £69 12s 4d a bale, compared with 70.14 d and £75 Ils Od respectively.

Bank Overdrafts. Trading Bank advances and discounts on December 2 were £209.3m against £203.8tn the week before and £207.1m on December 2, 1963. according to the Reserve Bank.
