WATER-SPEED RECORD

Campbell May Try Today

(N.Z. Press Assn —Copyright PERTH, December 2

Donald Campbell’s attempt to break the world waterspeed record will probably be made within the next 24 hours.

The Perth weather bureau said today weather conditions would be ideal. The strangest breeze expected in the Lake Dumbleyung area would be 10 knots.

The Bluebird project manager, Mr Graham Ferrett, said there was a chance of the attempt being made today, but it was more likely to be made tomorrow morning, when even better weather was expected.
