£2750 A Foot
The capital value of Auckland’s inner-city area has jumped 30.9 per cent to £136 million since 1959 and value of land in the best part of Queen street has risen 374 per cent to £2750 a frontage foot, according to the new five-yearly Government valuation of the inner-city. A Valuation Department spokesman said the Queen street valuation figures were more than twice as high as main street values in the next highjest centres. Wellington and 1 Christchurch.—(P.A.)
