LIME AND MARBLE
Quarrying Firm 25 Years Old The Nelson mining firm of Lime and Marble, Ltd. has celebrated its first 25 years with the issue of a booklet on its activities. The firm began with a marble quarry on the Takaka Hill, but has since expanded its activities to include the prospecting, quarrying and processing of a wide variety of industrial minerals and raw materials. A recent major development has been the establishment of a dolomite plant near Collingwood, and the merging of dolomite interests with Golden Bay Distributors, Ltd. Branch factories have been established this year at Te Rapa (Hamilton) and Sockburn (Christchurch).
