SUBURBAN GAMES Beardsley Scores 105 For Beckenham

Batting all afternoon, Beckenham scored 299 against Sumner when the sixth round matches of the Suburban Cricket Association's competitions began on Saturday. D. Beardsley and A. Tizzard added ISO runs for the fourth wicket. Beardsley scored a good 105 in bright fashion while Tizzard made a welcome return to form.

The Sumner attack looked very thin, the most successful bowler being M. Lloyd. Earlier, the test fast bowler, G. O. McKenzie dismissed the first three Queensland batsmen and at one stage had bowling figures of three for 6. He finished the day with three for 29.
