Nobel Wirmer Dead

Dr. Victor F. Hess, the scientist credited with the discovery of cosmic rays, has died at his home in Mount Vernon. He was 81. Dr. Hess in 1936 received the Nobel Prize for his work in detecting cosmic radiation.
