Messrs G. Lancaster and R. G. Young have been appointed members of the Lincoln Park Domain Board, replacing Messrs G. S. Gibbs and C. J. Woods, who have resigned. Messrs D. K. Mackenzie, L. E. Kerr, and N. S. Murdoch have been appointed trustees of the South Canterbury Savings Bank.
Mr H. E. Boyle, for 26 years a member of the Halswell School Committee, was presented with a wristlet watch by Mr N. E. Kirk, M.P., at the school break-up ceremony. Mr Boyle has been chairman of the committee for the last few years. Mrs Boyle received a bouquet of flowers and was also thanked for her work for the school.
