THE ABOVE GRAPH prepared by the Wool Board’s information service clearly demonstrates the drop in wool prices during the opening sales of the present season compared with the same period last year. It shows the price trend for three types of wool for the first 13 sales of the main season beginning on September 30 and including the Invercargill sale on November 20. The average price per lb for wool sold up to the end of last month was 48.21 d compared with 51.50d at the same stage last season.
