SOIL MOISTURE
The soil moisture deficit on the non-irrigated area at the Winchomer irrigation research station yesterday was 278 points compared with 206 at this time last year. On the irrigated area the deficit was 98 points. This area can next be irrigated on December 7. It was not irrigated on last Monday asthe deficit was then only 51 points following 106 points of rain last Saturday and 19 points last Sunday.
