TWO BOYS STABBED
Attempt To Rob Alleged ' (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, Nov. 25. J Two teenage-boys, allegedly ’ attempting to rob a delicatessen shop, were stabbed to death tonight by its owner, , United Press International , reported. The youths were tentatively ■ identified as Joseph Toledo 1 and Manuel Arroyo, both 16. 1 Peter Bastianick, aged 55, 1 owner of the shop, said the 1 youths tried to hold up the place, threatening him with ' a sauce bottle. 1 He said he chased them around a counter and stabbed ' both with a 14in knife. Toledo ' died almost instantly and the ' other youth died on the way to a hospital. Bastianick was treated in ' hospital for head injuries. Saved.—A retired sea captain, Roy Everard, aged 71, of North Elmham, Norfolk, risked his life yesterday to save two bottles of Napoleon brandy from a fire that burnt out his home.—Landon, November 26.
