Algeria promised today to do all in its power to aid a peaceful solution to the South-east Asia conflict between Malaysia and Indonesia. the Associated Press reported. An Algerian Government communique released at the conclusion of a visit here by the Malaysian Vice-Premier. Tun Abdul Razak, said in nart: “The Malaysian VicePremier and members of his delegation met today with President Ahmed Ben Bella and the Foreign Minister, Abdel-Aziz Bouteflika.

“They discussed the situation in South-east Asia concerning difficulties which may arise in relations between Indonesia and Malaysia. President Ben Bella assured Deputy Premier Razak that he would do everything possible with a view to achieving a pacific solution to the conflict between the two countries. Algeria expressed understanding of the fact that Malaysia is a sovereign nation. independent and Asiatic.” i
