YOUNG HELMSMAN.— Wayne Tomlinson (Mount Pleasant) who at present leads on points in the trial series to select a Canterbury Tanner Cup representative. Wayne was placed first and fourth in the two races sailed so far. His P class boat, Sparkey, was formerly owned by the Olympic reserve, B. de Thier, who represented Canterbury in her. The concluding races of the trial series will be held at Charteris Bay today and tomorrow.
