WALLABY MATCH
Playing In Auckland (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 19. The Wallabies are to be invited to play in Auckland on May 22, a month before they play the Springboks, the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union decided last night. Auckland’s invitation will go forward to the New Zealand council, which, in turn, will invite Australia for the match. ■The first suggestion of the game came in a letter from the manager of the Wallabies in New Zealand this year, Mr J. French. It developed when the Auckland union chairman, Mr R. Burk, had informal discussions in Sydney recently with members of the Australian union who intimated that they would be in favour of such a game. The first match between the Wallabies and the Springboks will be on June 19.
