BISHOPDALE SULLAGE
No Building Permits No more building permits will be issued by the Waimairi County Council for homes on sections in Breens road, Leacroft street and in the areas of Harewood road between Leacroft street and Breens road until an operative sewer is available. The council’s senior health inspector (Mr R. H. Gee) last month reported that sullage in the district was creating a hazard to the health of residents. Cr. W. T. Rice, the county engineer (Mr I. Calvert) and Mr Gee together with a deputation of residents will attend a meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board next week.
