Captain, Pilot Gaoled
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 18. The captain and pilot of an Argentine ferry boat which sank with the loss of 52 lives have been sentenced in Buenos Aires to two years’ imprisonment for manslaughter.
The ferry boat, the Ciudad de Asuncion, sank in the River Plate on July 11 last year after hitting the wreckage of a sunken ship in thick fog. It was carrying 358 passengers from Montevideo, Uruguay, to Buenos Aires.
