Akaroa Museum
Canterbury Museum staff have been almost entirely responsible for planning the displays of the Eteveneaux Cottage and Akaroa Museum which w'll be opened on Saturday, December 5 at 2 p.m. Miss Rose Reynolds, in association with Mr J. A. Hendry and with the help from an Akaroa women's committee have completed the furnishing of the Eteveneaux Cottage as New Zealand's first example of a “historic house museum.” The 10 show cases of the Akaroa museum displays, designed and constructed in the Canterbury Museum workshop were installed in September.
